The 1. Bundesligarennen is the round that sets the tone of the Austrian Road League season. Every team rolls up with full kit, full ambition and a fresh number on the back. The first surge of the year is always the loudest.
We came in with clear roles: cover the early break, keep our climbers fresh, and place riders on the front for the closing laps. The plan held longer than these openers usually allow.
The race lit up where it always does — short rises, narrow descents, and the long drag into the finishing straight. The peloton split, regrouped and split again. Our riders were in the right group every time it mattered.
Round one done. The league standings are open, the legs are talking, and we have data to take into round two.
