Kirschblütenrennen — racing through the cherry blossoms

The Kirschblütenrennen is one of those races every Austrian rider has on the spring calendar. Rolling Burgenland roads, orchards in full bloom, a peloton ready to find out who came out of the winter strongest.

We rolled into Donnerskirchen with a clear plan: protect the leaders, ride the front in the technical sections, and read the wind on the open stretches between the hills.

The race split early, as it always does. The lap circuit punished anyone caught a metre off the wheel, and the final climbs sorted the front group. Our riders held position where it mattered.

An honest result for an honest race. Lessons logged, legs tested, calendar ticking forward.
